Amulet Pendant – Hamsa

Hamsa Amuletic Pendant  Hand-shaped amulets – called hamsas, after the Arabic word for “five” – are common in Muslim countries, particularly in North Africa, and are thought to hold powerful magical properties. Muslims also call this type of amulet the “Hand of Fatima,” after the daughter of the Prophet Muhammad, and believe in its powers to ward off the evil eye.
