Introducing:
A woman of valor, who can find? For her price is far above rubies.
Feminine Power, Spiritual Virtue
אֵשֶׁת חַיִל מִי יִמְצָא וְרָחוֹק מִפְּנִינִים מִכְרָהּ (משלי ל״א:י׳)
"A woman of valor, who can find? Her price is far above rubies." (Proverbs 31:10)
"This is the opening verse of the famous “Eshet Chayil” (Woman of Valor) passage from Proverbs 31.
"A woman of valor" refers to a strong, noble, and spiritually elevated woman — one who embodies wisdom, kindness, strength, modesty, and diligence.
"Who can find?" – This phrase emphasizes the rarity of such a woman; she is not easy to find in the world.
"Her price is far above rubies" – She is more valuable than the finest gems. This speaks not of material wealth, but of inner spiritual worth, dedication, and moral strength.
In Kabbalistic interpretation, Eshet Chayil is sometimes understood not only as a tribute to a woman, but also as an allegory for the Shekhinah – the Divine Feminine Presence, or the soul’s highest potential."
