The Tagua Organic Jewelry studio was founded by Ofri Friedman in 2009. She creates jewelry using tagua, the nut of a palm tree native to South America, as well as other fruits and seeds—such as the South American bombona, the kukui from the Philippines, and chira from Peru. Thanks to her work with natural materials, the shapes and textures of Ofri’s diverse jewelry pieces are uniquely varied. The production process is carried out in collaboration with Beit Ekstein, involving individuals with special needs.
